There is a lot on your shoulders these days.

Not only do you carry the weight of your own challenges, but the emotional burdens of your family and those who depend on you, too. And it’s all starting to get heavy...too heavy, maybe, to manage on your own.

This is a place for you to put those things down.

I work with women—those juggling work, school, parenting, caregiving, and more—who are ready to stop making themselves small for others’ comfort, set healthier boundaries around their energy, heart, and time, and invest in their own wellness without apologizing for it.

Often, women hold so much within themselves...and even though they’re often good communicators, they don’t have the space to process, acknowledge, or grieve the hard parts of life.

Maybe you’ve been to therapy before and are looking to go deeper than you have in the past, or maybe this is the very first time you’ve reached out to someone. Either way, I can provide you the space, support, and expertise you need to get to know yourself better — and, in turn, show up as your full self in every area of your life.

My Approach to Therapy

Therapy with me is a compassionate, collaborative process.

In our work together, you’ll find opportunities for reflection, growth, and the development of new insights. You’ll also gain an understanding of the roots of your difficulties and the patterns that have kept you from the life you imagine. You will develop practical skills to challenge long-held patterns that you can take with you into your everyday life and relationships. Taking what you’re learning in therapy into your day-to-day will set you on the path to long-term change within yourself and with the relationships that matter most to you.

In therapy with me, we honor the present moment experience of emotion, and I support you in processing that experience in meaningful ways. The insight you’ll gain, combined with a sense of safety to embrace and express your emotions, will help you show up as your full and authentic self in your relationships, your work, and your life. Processing emotions fully is a way to relieve distress, decrease anxiety, increase clarity, and help us feel more connected within ourselves and with others.

I recognize and honor your individual experiences and the complex narrative of your life. My role is to meet you wherever you are on your unique journey, then join with you to process the challenges you’re facing and develop new skills and insights to work through them.

We’ll work on:

  • Increasing your knowledge and connection to yourself

  • Shining a light on your true self—and allowing that light to illuminate your path forward

  • Cultivating safety & belonging in your relationships

I want to help you move toward change by breaking longstanding and unhelpful patterns and planting seeds of self-compassion in the places you have been struggling.

Methods & Modalities

Experiential, Emotionally-Focused & Psychodynamic

I utilize an integrative therapeutic approach, rooted in the principles of attachment theory that form the basis of AEDP and Emotionally Focused Therapy, along with principles of psychodynamic psychotherapy.

CBT & DBT

I incorporate cognitive and behavioral principles throughout the course of treatment, utilizing my extensive training in CBT and DBT where it applies to your unique treatment needs.

Companioning the Grieving

My approach to working with grief and loss is the Companioning Model of bereavement care, which views grief as an expected response to loss and the grieving process as a journey that is emotionally and spiritually driven, not an illness that demands a cure.

Mindfulness

I integrate mindfulness principles throughout treatment, as I believe these can serve as an anchor to support you in the therapeutic process.
